Andrew Jiang achieved the impossible: Inbox Zero. And he did it without touching his email client directly.

The Process

1. Connected OpenClaw to his email via API

2. Used WhatsApp as the control interface

3. Agent processed hundreds of unread emails

4. Categorized, archived, or flagged each one

5. Set up a weekly cron job to maintain inbox zero

The WhatsApp Workflow

• "Check my inbox" → Agent reports unread count and priorities
• "Archive everything from newsletters" → Bulk archive
• "Draft a reply to the one from Sarah" → Agent drafts, waits for approval
• "Set up weekly cleanup" → Cron job configured

Maintaining Inbox Zero

The weekly cron job runs every Sunday evening:

• Archives processed emails
• Flags anything requiring attention
• Sends a WhatsApp summary
• Unsubscribes from low-value newsletters (with permission)
